We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Staff Grade Speech & Language Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team in an acute setting in Ballyfermot.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive healthcare setting, delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services to adults with a range of communication and swallowing needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist: Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults with speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing difficulties.
Manage a clinical caseload in line with service priorities and best practice guidelines.
Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team including nursing, medical, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, and social work colleagues.
Participate in discharge planning and liaise with community and primary care services as required.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital, HSE, and CORU standards.
Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Engage in supervision and ongoing professional development.
Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist: Recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
CORU registration (mandatory).
Ability to manage a caseload effectively within a healthcare setting.
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Experience Experience working with adult populations.
Experience in areas such as dysphagia, neurology, rehabilitation, mental health, or care of the older person.
Previous experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or community healthcare setting.
