PE Global Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Joint Venture (JV) Accountant on behalf of a semi-state power generation entity based in Newbridge.This is a permanent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of the end-to-end financial reporting process for assigned Joint Venture entities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with shareholder requirements and agreed Service Level Agreements.The position will deliver robust management and statutory reporting, maintain strong internal controls and provide valuable financial insights to support commercial and strategic decision-making. As the primary finance contact for your assigned JV, you will build effective relationships and contribute to the successful delivery of Joint Venture objectives.The RoleThe main duties and responsibilities include:Own the monthly reporting cycle for assigned Joint Venture entities, including preparation of management accounts, project cost reports and variance analysis. Ensure reports are accurate and delivered on time to Boards and shareholders.Ensure compliance with SLAs and internal control frameworks, maintaining high standards across banking, procurement and approval processes.Prepare statutory reporting packs and audit documentation, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory obligations.Lead annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting in collaboration with project teams to align financial plans with delivery timelines and targets.Act as the primary finance point of contact for assigned Joint Venture entities, managing information flows between JV partners, internal stakeholders and enabling services functions.Provide financial insight and analysis to support project controls, commercial strategy and business decisions.Monitor and enhance internal control systems in line with corporate governance requirements, escalating issues where necessary to the JV Finance Partner and Governance Manager.Comply fully with all Health, Safety and Welfare requirements.Actively participate in performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.The PersonThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Strong experience in month-end close, general ledger and financial reporting.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong technical capability using Excel, Power BI, Power Query and Oracle (or similar ERP systems).Experience in utilities, energy, infrastructure or project-focused environments is advantageous but not essential.
