Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a private ophthalmic clinic in South Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ophthalmic diagnostic testing, working as part of the nursing/technician team, and assisting with theatre duties.
* Ongoing clinical responsibilities:
Working as part of the Nursing/Technician team to perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing on patients as part of clinical work-ups for consultations at the clinic. This includes conducting virtual consultations with patients to capture motivations for surgery, medical history, visual needs etc prior to their consultation with the Surgeon.
* Theatre duties and responsibilities include scrubbing for cataract procedures performed in our dedicated theatre. Additionally you will assist management of patients on day surgeries (consent discussion counseling postoperative instructions) checking correct IOLs available etc.
Required Skills And Qualifications
1. Active NMBI registration
2. Excellent communication skills Excellent attention detail Strong service ethic Ophthalmic experience an advantage but not essential
