ResponsibilitiesThe Regulatory Response Team aims to ensure the safety of our users on the platform by responding to varying levels of escalations. As a Regulatory Response Analyst within our Trust & Safety team, you will be on the front line case managing our response to major global Trust & Safety pressing regulatory incidents. You will partner with broader Risk Containment and Regional Safety teams to contain high-risk incidents, ensuring timely and thorough mitigation of escalations and crises.It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.Investigate and resolve reported incidents across multiple channels for TikTok and coordinate our response to global partners inquiries. This could be a time sensitive response to a critical government regulatory report, a safety related matter raised by our Community Partner Channel partner or a trending challenge that may pose harm to our communityParticipate in risk containment efforts across various global cross-functional teams including Public Policy, Legal, Product and Engineering, among others to handle and respond to crisisAnalyse incident trends, systems and data to develop improvements to the overall incident processes and drive improvements across process, policy and productStakeholder collaboration: utilize data-driven insights to influence stakeholders and transform frontline signals into product, policy, and detection enhancements.Conduct analysis, review market data to identify root causes and implement lessons learned into policies, processes, and tooling improvements.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 4+ years experience in a fast paced environment, preferably in Trust & Safety Operations or Incident, Policy, Risk or Crisis Management rolesStrong knowledge of the SSA region, with high proficiency in both Swahili and English to effectively engage with regional stakeholders and global teams.Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with different teamsGood project management skills, with a proven record of driving change from conception to executionFlexibility with global working hours and with working on certain weekends, on a rotation basisKnowledge of cultural sensitivities and regional differences in harmful content definitions and enforcementPreferred Qualifications:Quantitative skills, a data driven mindset; SQL skills are a plusExperience working in a technology, start-up, or digital platform environmentUnderstanding of trust and safety tech policies, global legal and regulatory frameworks related to online safety and harm prevention communicationAbout TikTokTikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video.
