ABOUT THE ROLE As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering water treatment solutions across a range of projects.
You will lead the process and detailed design of treatment systems, carrying out and reviewing process calculations, mass balances and performance assessments to develop efficient and reliable solutions.
You will select and specify treatment processes and equipment—such as coagulation/flocculation, filtration, membrane systems, disinfection and sludge handling—while providing technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle from design to construction and commissioning.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate with engineers and external stakeholders, review contractor and vendor submissions, and support project managers with technical input on risk, cost and programme, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety and quality standards.
YOUR IMPACT In this role, you will help deliver safe, reliable and sustainable water infrastructure for communities across Ireland.
Through your expertise in process design, you will develop effective treatment solutions that improve water quality and support resilient systems for the future.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients, you will contribute to innovative, practical solutions across the full project lifecycle.

ABOUT YOU You are a motivated and technically strong engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects.
You bring a strong foundation in water or wastewater treatment design, along with the ability to lead technical work and communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
Key attributes and experience include: Bachelor's degree in civil, Environmental, Chemical or Process Engineering, or a related discipline Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership (or equivalent professional registration) Proven experience designing water and wastewater treatment infrastructure, ideally delivering projects for Uisce Éireann or other water utilities Strong technical knowledge of water engineering principles, standards, regulations and industry best practice WHY JOIN US We put people first: We're proud of our friendly, inclusive and collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and driven to succeed.
