Job Position Summary
Manages all aspects of the QC testing program on shift. Ensures all testing & quality requirements related to all products meet company requirements. This position provides technical leadership and establishes systems to ensure departmental compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsible for driving QC testing targets and pace in the lab. The QCTL role involves managing personnel on shift (core, workday, 5 conversations, ER/LR management).
Duties and Responsibilities
* Supervises the performance, review, and scheduling of laboratory personnel. Provides training development.
* Oversees QC testing program on shift and coordinates laboratory activity supporting routine testing, product release, shelf-life, non-conformances, complaint investigations, regulatory submissions, etc.
* Acts as a technical guide and approval authority on relevant technical issues, protocols, SOPs, methods, etc.
* Supports cost improvement projects within the department and for internal customers.
* Drives closure of O/I's, ensures TWI process conformance checks, BOP audits, in-solution analysis, NC investigations, 5S audits are completed timely.
* Oversees safety & environmental requirements for the QC lab, ensuring all safety standards are met.
* Tracks, reports, and improves key quality indicators for compliance and efficiency.
* Performs other duties as assigned by management.
* Supports planning of annual spending and headcount budgets.
* Acts as the contact for regulatory groups regarding QC issues and audits.
* Follows Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements in all role aspects.
* Handles all aspects of people management—core, workday, 5 conversations, ER/LR activities.
* All employees are responsible for minimizing environmental and health & safety impacts of their work.
Experience & Education
* Minimum Cert level in Quality / Science related field.
Required knowledge, skills, abilities, certifications/licenses, and affiliations
* At least 5 years’ experience in a regulated environment.
* Ability to work in a team environment while meeting daily targets.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Flexible work ethic.
