We are delighted to announce a rare and exciting opportunity for a
Medical Manpower Manager
is responsible for overseeing the allocation and management of all NCHD resources. This role requires providing strategic leadership in key areas, including budget management, collaborating with UCC Medical School, managing relationships with GP referrers and clients, handling Consultant recruitment and onboarding, supporting the introduction of new services, and leading various strategic projects.
Essential Eligibility Criteria:
* At Least 5 years' experience in Medical Manpower, HR or Clinical Line management within Healthcare.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Familiarity with recruitment, performance management, and budget oversight.
* Knowledge of medical staffing processes and relevant healthcare regulations.
* Experience with HR systems (e.g., TAMS, Q Pulse) is an advantage.
Role Responsibilities of the post include, and are not limited to:
* Medical Manpower:
Oversee the management of NCHD posts, including rotas, performance, recruitment, and leave requests. Ensure appropriate skill mix and cover across departments.
* Consultant Recruitment:
Recruitment, onboarding, compliance, NCHD governance
* GP Liaison
: Manage GP liaison activities, including educational initiatives, referral base engagement, and coordination of the BSHC GP Forum.
* Medical Student Liaison (UCC)
: Coordinate medical student induction and ensure alignment with the MOU between BSHC and UCC.
* Budget & Reporting:
Monitor the NCHD budget, manage overtime, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
