Equality Officer Role
The Equality Officer is responsible for leading the development and implementation of equality, diversity and inclusion policies and strategies within a higher education institution.
Main Responsibilities:
* Review, update, redraft and present equality policies to relevant governance bodies.
* Develop and implement initiatives to promote equality, diversity and inclusion across the university community.
* Collaborate with staff, students, networks and external stakeholders to advance the institution's EDI objectives.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field such as education, social sciences or law.
* Proven experience in equality, diversity and inclusion work, preferably in an academic setting.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
