We are now taking applications for the role ofSenior Occupational Therapist Full time | 35 Hours Monday - Friday | Permanent | South Dublin The role : The purpose of the role is to support the provision of a high quality, person-centred occupational therapy service to adults supported by Cheeverstown. The occupational therapy caseload consists of neurological, musculoskeletal, sensory, and orthopaedic conditions, as well as 24 hour postural management and seating clinics. The caseload also includes assisted technology clinics for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. The senior occupational therapist holds a key role in Cheeverstowns falls management programme and in the environmental assessment of Cheeverstowns current and future properties. The senior occupational therapist supports and trains staff within both the MDT and the wider Cheeverstown staff team. Requirements of the role: The Candidate must : possess a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised third level institution be registered as an Occupational Therapist with CORU and maintain CORU registration have at least 3 years satisfactory post qualification experience have experience working in the disability sector have experience in seating assessment and provision demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills together with up to date knowledge of current thinking and practice in services for people with intellectual disabilities be highly motivated, flexible and committed to working as part of a team have a full drivers licence and own vehicle A copy of the full job description is available from.
