We are now taking applications for the role of Senior Occuptional Therapist Part time | 17.5 Hours Monday - Friday | Specified purpose contract | South Dublin The role : The purpose of the role is to support the provision of a high quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy service to adults supported by Cheeverstown Cheeverstown clinic is a multidisciplinary team of health and social care professionals working in social work, music therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, psychology, speech and language therapy and administration. We support people with their physical health, psychological health and social support needs. We offer a primary care type service for adults with intellectual disabilities who use Cheeverstown New Directions and supported living services. Requirements of the role: Possess a diploma or degree in occupational therapy from a recognised third level institution and be registered as an Occupational Therapist with CORU. Have at least 3 years satisfactory post qualification experience, with experience in the disability sector an advantage. Commitment and dedication to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disability and autism. Flexibility and ability to respond to changing needs and situations. Full clean drivers license and access to own vehicle. A person-centered approach to the provision of supports, including an understanding of the individual needs and abilities of each person. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including good listening skills. Previous experience working in an intellectual disability service.
