Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Professional to join our Body Engineering team.
The role involves supporting daily production demands, developing the product portfolio, and identifying materials required for vehicle builds to meet customer specifications.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of components and systems into overall vehicle designs.
* Responsible for specifying, selecting, and integrating components and systems into new and existing vehicle designs.
* Conduct technical assessments and analyses of options available from component to system level.
* Recommend optimal solutions that satisfy system requirements while meeting overall vehicle objectives.
* Develop and design product options in line with customer specifications.
* Investigate and source as necessary any requirement for new materials and technology.
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent qualification.
* Experience with whole product CAD.
* Experience in designing concepts through to manufacturing.
* Experience in New Product Development within an engineering environment.
* Knowledge of Bill of Materials structure.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
