Position SummaryWorking as part of a high-performance international accounting team, the role will revolve around the month-end close process, but will involve a steady stream of fresh challenges as the company evolves. The position will report to the International Finance Manager.Responsibilities:Complete month-end close, under US GAAP, to tight reporting deadlines for several international legal entities.Preparing supporting work papers and reconciliations for key balance sheet and expense accountsPrepare financial statementsPrepare bank reconciliationsEnsures all Intercompany accounts balanceManaging the completion of the annual Statutory Account filings and financial statement auditsAggregating data and assisting with ad hoc reporting requestsSupporting VAT and Tax compliance requirementsIdentifying and supporting the implementation of ongoing system developmentsManage the relationship with outsourced professional firmsKey requirements : Hold a professional accounting qualification with experience in GL Accounting or similar, working in practice on industry or technology companiesDetail-oriented and exceptional organizational and communication skillsStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenFirst-class academic recordExceptional analytical abilities and strong MS Excel skillsWorking knowledge of Oracle or a similar ERP systemA proactive, self-directed approach and the ability to learn quickly with a drive for continuous improvementA high sense of urgency and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environmentFlexibility as we continue to evolve processes and job responsibilitiesKnowledge of US GAAP reportingKnowledge of international statutory reportingExperience in a finance shared service centre with an international remit is desirable but not essentialThe sucessful candidate must be eligible to work in Ireland.Please Note:'All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, age, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, on the basis of disability, or other characteristic protected by applicable law.'
