Vacancy Number: 27333Category: FinanceJob Type: Full-timePosition DescriptionThe Sustainability Reporting Analyst plays a pivotal role in the organisation's sustainability efforts by supporting the Reporting Manager in the accurate and prompt reporting of sustainability performance from Business Units and at Group Level. With a focus on transparency, compliance, and effective communication, the analyst ensures that sustainability data is collected, analysed, and reported in a timely manner. This role is essential in driving the ESBs commitment to sustainability and fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, Maintain, and Improve Reporting Processes: Develop, update, and refine sustainability data and reporting processes, ensuring appropriate controls and sign-offs are in placeCollect and Consolidate Sustainability Data: Gather, validate, and consolidate sustainability metrics, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with best practices and regulatory frameworksProduce and Present Reports: Prepare regular and ad-hoc sustainability reporting packages, including annually and periodic reporting, with clear and understandable data presentationManage End-to-End Reporting Cycles: Oversee the full reporting process, ensuring timely delivery and collaboration with BU Sustainability Managers and other stakeholders to support corporate sustainability goalsEnsure Reporting Governance and Compliance: Implement and adhere to governance frameworks, maintaining consistency with internal standards and external regulatory requirementsSupport Assurance and Audit Activities: Engage with internal and external auditors, conduct pre-assurance checks, and respond to assurance and information exchange requestsContribute to Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in additional sustainability-related initiatives and projects as requiredExperience and QualificationsEssentialAccounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)3+ years PQE reporting experienceSkilled in data collection, able to gather, record, and organize information from various sourcesDetail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in sustainability data collection and reporting, coupled with continuous improvement mindsetStrong governance experience including strong auditing skills, ability to identify issues, root causes and corrective actionsProficient in performance analysis, including analysing ESG performance data, identifying trends, variances, and insights, and providing meaningful commentariesGood quantitative skills, capable of working with metrics, measurements, and KPIsDesirableFamiliarity with sustainability reporting frameworksLocationThis position will be based in F27, Dublin.ESB is committed to smart working – combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working.
