We are searching for a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Porter to join our team at Radisson RED Galway.

About The Role:

As a Kitchen Steward, you're the behind-the-scenes hero, making sure our chefs have the tools and space to create magic for our guests taste buds You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and no dish, utensil, or kitchen corner escapes your watchful eye. You bring energy, efficiency, and a commitment to keeping things running smoothly.
You'll be the master of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, from washing dishes and handling kitchen equipment to maintaining hygiene standards. You'll support the team by keeping everything in its place, so they can focus on creating the culinary masterpieces we're known for. With your dedication, every service will be seamless.
* Minimum experience: 1+ years of relevant experience in stewarding.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Support and assist in the smooth running of the stewarding department, supporting the kitchen and food & beverage departments to focus on delivering all aspects of the guest food & beverage experience throughout the Hotel to the highest level, ensuring both property and company standards are attained and adhered to.
2. Takes responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner.
3. Collaborate with colleagues to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.
4. Support and deliver on the strategies and objectives of the stewarding department taking ownership for assigned areas of responsibility.
5. Develops and builds own skills, knowledge and experience at every opportunity within stewarding department, which aligns with the culture of growth, development and performance expected by the company.
6. Collaborates with the Head of Department, ensuring that departmental inventory is maintained, that productivity targets are achieved, and performance levels are attained
7. Build and maintain effective working relationships, communicating with key stakeholders whilst promoting the company culture and values.
8. Ensures adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
9. Proven experience in a stewarding position, ideally within a hotel environment
10. Ability to adapt to changing service environments
11. Good leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
12. Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
13. Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
14. Strong communication and listening skills
15. Ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures
16. An open, positive and communicative personality
17. Ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
