Cafe Manager - O'Hehirs, Terryland, Galway

FULL TIME MANAGER required for our Terryland cafe. O’Hehirs is a well-established, family‑run business in food and bakery based in Sligo. We serve customers in a chain of shops spanning Sligo, Donegal, Mayo, Galway, Longford and Westmeath and are constantly expanding our services and products.
This role requires 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. You should bring 3–5 years of experience in a similar role and be passionate about customer service. The successful applicant will manage day‑to‑day operations, lead staff, and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent service and achieve sales targets.
Plan and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate cover within payroll budget.
Drive upselling initiatives across deli and bakery counters to increase average spend and profitability.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen compliance at all times.
Collaborate with suppliers and kitchen team to manage stock levels, minimise waste, and ensure consistent product quality.
Measure performance, provide feedback, and foster a positive, team‑focused culture.
Handle customer feedback, ensuring every customer leaves happy.
Qualifications
3–5 years experience in cafe, bakery, hotel or deli management.
Excellent leadership and team development skills.
Strong understanding of rota planning and payroll budgets.
Solid knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
Commercial awareness and proven experience driving sales and upselling.
Proactive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.
