Job Description:
This role involves managing the operation and safety of a vessel, its machinery, equipment, and crew. The Master is responsible for implementing the company's safety and environmental policy, motivating the crew, and reviewing safety activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Management of the vessel and its associated equipment
- Implementing safety policies and procedures
- Managing on-board training requirements
- Ensuring the Safety Management System (SMS) is kept current
- Coordinating audits and maintaining electronic navigational aids and communications equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should have a minimum of two years' experience in a similar position, holding a valid STCW Master 500 CoC or UK FSE or above, and relevant STCW certificates and Medical.
Candidates should possess strong interpersonal communication skills, be a team player, and have strong organizational skills with the ability to think logically and remain calm under pressure.
