Head of Product Planning – HRM Search Partners (Ireland)
Overview
Our client is a well‑established and highly respected organisation within the Irish motor industry, experiencing significant growth and transformation, particularly in the EV space. This is a 12‑month maternity leave cover contract, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, with a hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities
Align product strategy with sales and commercial objectives, leading a high‑performing product‑planning team.
Lead market analysis, product positioning, pricing, and go‑to‑market strategies across passenger car brands.
Provide senior management with insights on performance, risks, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
Drive product‑planning sessions and align strategy with sales and business‑planning tools.
Monitor product performance and implement corrective actions across pricing, specification, and customer feedback.
Manage cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Dealers, and Manufacturers.
Oversee product lifecycle activities including ordering accuracy, configurators, pricing updates, and dealer communications.
Lead new product launches, lifecycle strategies, and product‑related projects (e‑mobility, ADAS, connected services).
Engage with dealer networks, key customers, and manufacturer partners.
Lead, coach, and support a team of 5 product‑planning professionals.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a senior product, commercial, or planning role within the motor industry.
Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of automotive product planning and vehicle technologies.
Experience with EV platforms, battery technology, ADAS, and software‑defined vehicles.
Proven ability to use data and insights to drive strategic decisions (e.g., Power BI or similar tools).
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Degree or MBA in Business or a related discipline preferred.
Proven project‑management capability and ability to operate to tight deadlines.
Flexible and adaptable to evolving technologies and market dynamics.
Location & Employment
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland – Full‑time, Director level.
