Mechanical Estimator Location: Dublin Salary: €60,000 - €70,000 A well-established and growing mechanical services contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their Dublin-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy contractor with a strong pipeline of commercial and industrial projects. The Company Our client is a reputable building services contractor specialising in HVAC and mechanical installations across commercial, healthcare, industrial, and large-scale fit-out projects. Due to continued growth and project wins, they are expanding their commercial team. The Role As Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and commercially sound cost estimates for mechanical building services projects. Key responsibilities include: Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Preparing detailed cost estimates for HVAC and mechanical packages Pricing labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor elements Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations Identifying value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions Supporting the smooth handover of projects to the operations team Assisting with contract negotiations where required Projects will typically include commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, industrial installations, and large HVAC packages. The Person We are keen to speak with candidates who have: Experience in mechanical estimating within HVAC or building services Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and associated mechanical systems The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong commercial awareness and cost-control capability Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities A background in mechanical engineering or building services is highly desirable.
