Together with our customers, we help over 24 million people from all wealth segments to invest in their future.The Role:Junior Fund Accountant (14-Month Fixed Term)Joining a team ranging in experience from recent graduates, through to colleagues who have progressed internally to professional qualification, this is an excellent career development opportunity.The key responsibilities of the department include:Providing a high standard Fund Accounting service to FNZ Ireland's clientsValuing the funds in an accurate and timely manner and publication of Net Asset Values (NAVs)Placing trades with international fund managers in accordance with the advice of the clients' asset allocation advisersPurchasing and selling foreign currencies in a manner approved by the client.Treasury management of cash holdingsRecording all fund transactions in an accurate and timely mannerPreparation of all operational team output for capture on our imaging systemProducing monthly accounts and other data for financial and statutory returnsPerforming reconciliations to confirm accuracy of accounts information.Liaising with clients, fund managers and banks dailyUtilising the firm's technology solutions to manage client enquiries efficiently and effectively.The Person:The ideal candidate will have an excellent academic record, the ability to work in a fast-moving environment and the interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues, clients, and international financial institutions. They should also have:Strong aptitude for numerical accuracy and a high degree of analytical and problem-solving ability.2.1- or first-class honours degree ideally in a relevant discipline such a Commerce, Business Studies, Economics or Maths / Maths Related (however graduates from other disciplines wishing for a career change will also be considered if they have a strong maths aptitude)A working knowledge of MS Excel, SQL and Data Analytics would be advantageous.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well within a team environment.An ambition to develop a successful and rewarding career.An ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.An organised and systematic approach to their jobA strong customer service orientationKnowledge of a European language would be advantageous but not essential.Knowledge of Fund Accounting would be advantageous but not essential.Applications will close January 15th.
