Derivatives Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Derivatives Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering daily tasks and client deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have a keen awareness of the Financial Services Industry, a graduate degree in a relevant subject, and highly numerate and analytical skills.

* Administering daily tasks and client deliverables on a regular basis.
* Understanding trade life cycle and process flow (trade capture, valuations, settlements collateral management etc.).
* Responding to client queries and resolving any issues related to pricing and valuation.
* Trading non-automated OTC products on Vendor templates to ensure accurate valuations and pricing.
* Investigating reconciliation threshold breaks between NT and Client specific valuation reports.
* Collaborating with independent pricing vendors to obtain prices for OTC Derivatives and resolve valuation issues.
* Resolving Pricing Control reports including Quality Control checks.
* Highlighting process improvements and driving change by working with internal groups to enhance operational processes.
* Assisting with testing of change management projects including NT, Client, Vendor and Counterparty service enhancements.
* Supporting clients during onboarding and assisting with general operational queries.
* Attending meetings and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and will adopt a questioning approach to current methods. They will continually seek to increase automation of BAU processes where feasible and manage the query process to reduce queries raised with the Team.

They will also maintain up-to-date procedures manuals and adhere to company standards, procedures and controls. They will possess a professional approach and ability to develop relationships both internally and externally.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

* A keen awareness of the Financial Services Industry with a graduate degree in a relevant subject.
* Highly numerate and analytical with an ability to learn quickly.
* Advanced understanding of Over the Counter Swaps.
* Creative and dynamic problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in using email and standard Microsoft Office packages.
