Data Engineer, 3–6 Month Contract
Our Client:
Our client is a fast-growing organisation with a diverse set of operations and a strong focus on innovation and data-driven decision making. They are investing in a new data platform to streamline reporting, improve data quality, and unlock insights that will drive performance across multiple business functions.
What's Involved:
* Lead the design and implementation of a new data platform, combining technical delivery with business engagement.
* Build a centralised data warehouse, automate ETL pipelines, and develop curated datasets, reports, and dashboards that empower self-service analytics.
* Work closely with stakeholders across finance, operations, marketing, and IT to define KPIs, streamline reporting, and enable a future-ready, modular data environment.
What You Need:
* 5+ years as a Data Engineer, Data Warehouse Architect, or Analytics Consultant
* Strong SQL and data modelling skills; experience with Azure SQL or similar platforms
* ELT expertise (Azure Data Factory, SSIS, dbt, etc.)
* Experience building Power BI datasets and dashboards for self-service use
* Familiarity with data governance, documentation, and access control best practices
* Strong consulting and communication skills to translate business needs into technical solutions
