Location: Any VetPartners country, with monthly travel to a central support office: York (UK), Angers (France), München (Germany), Bologna (Italy), Veenendaal (Netherlands), Lisbon (Portugal), Madrid (Spain), Lausanne (Switzerland)
Travel: up to 4x a year within Europe at first, likely less frequent once role is established

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Sustainability Lead to join our Sustainability team. In this role, you will lead sustainability initiatives across our veterinary practices in Europe, develop and deliver training and reference resources, and build partnerships to help embed sustainability into everyday clinical practice. You will collaborate with the Clinical Board on projects such as low-flow anaesthesia and Project DRAPES, and work closely with Learning & Development, Marketing & PR, and Colleague Engagement teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver sustainability training and resources for practices across Europe.
* Consult with colleagues across countries to understand priorities, challenges, and opportunities for sustainability.
* Lead collaborations with the Clinical Board on sustainability-focused veterinary care and QI projects.
* Support UK practices with Investors in the Environment and PSS Environmental Sustainability accreditations.
* Align sustainability initiatives with CPD strategies and company goals.
* Support practice teams to embed energy efficiency and waste reduction measures.
* Respond to practice queries regarding sustainability.
* Provide information to Marketing & PR and collaborate with them on internal sustainability campaigns.
* Support other Sustainability team projects as needed.
About You:
We are looking for someone with:
* A veterinary medicine or nursing qualification.
* Excellent understanding of sustainability principles in veterinary practice.
* Hands-on experience delivering sustainability initiatives in clinical settings.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage colleagues and stakeholders.
* Project management and organizational skills to set objectives, track progress, and deliver results.
* Experience creating training and reference resources for in-person or online delivery.
* IT literacy, including Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Fluency in English.
Desirable:
* Academic or professional qualification in sustainability, environmental science, or corporate responsibility.
* Fluency in one or more of VetPartners' other working languages (Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish).
