Orthopaedic Development Specialist
Job Summary:
The Orthopaedic Development Specialist will support the design and development of innovative solutions for Orthopaedic and Trauma applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and detail component (implant, instruments, packaging, etc.) designs by utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
* Develop prototypes for design verification and validation purposes.
* Support product development through the design control process in compliance with relevant guidelines.
* Collaborate with Health Care Professionals to gather input for design and evaluation of new products.
* Develop verification and validation protocols and technical reports.
* Contribute to cross-functional design teams to develop new products, address design issues, and maintain existing designs.
* Utilize knowledge of surgical procedures and relationships with Health Care Professionals to develop innovative solutions.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
* Up to 2 years' experience.
* Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices, design principles within a regulated environment.
* Familiarity with CAD or CAE modeling tools.
* Knowledge of analysis tools and statistical methods.
* Knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods.
* Ability to interpret complex drawings.
