Bid Manager - High Voltage Substation Projects

Scope of Work: Lead the tendering process for the multi-national businesses work in Ireland as a leading provider of turnkey substation and high voltage electrical infrastructure projects.

Turner Lovell is recruiting for a Bid Manager to join the Irish team of a global business and lead all tendering activity from the opportunity handover from the sales team, through to submittal.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact of the businesses trajectory in Ireland over the coming decade, and to develop your career at the forefront of the market. You should be a competitive individual, coming from a contractor or OEM background, and have experience managing the complete bidding process for multi-million-pound substation or related tenders previously.
With the support or the in-country team, your responsibilities will include:
* Review of RFI / RFQ specifications to determine requirements and prepare bid / no bid documentation.
* Working across departments and teams internally to formulate winning strategies with consideration to the overall business targets.
* Take control of tender kick-off meetings, identifying and agreeing scope and timelines.
* Manage external suppliers, subcontractors, and supply chain partners towards success.
* Attend customer pre-tender clarification meetings / clarify all internal and external queries / and produce tender calculations based on information gathered.
* Ensure robust, thorough tender packs are compiled and submitted with the aim of successful outcomes.
The ideal profile is someone with:
* Experience managing the complete bidding process for multi-million-pound projects.
* Proven track record managing bids through internal approval processes & customer presentations.
* The ability to make independent decisions and recommendations to management.
* Competitive "will to win" and readiness to introduce innovative ideas.
* Proactive and self-starter approach to all work.
* Suitable candidates should have a background which includes Transmission and Distribution projects in the energy sector.
