Senior EL/PL Underwriter - Dublin Our client, a leading global insurer, is seeking a Senior Liability Underwriter to join their high-performing team. About the Role In this role, you'll take the lead on underwriting complex Liability risks while working closely with brokers and internal teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions. Your responsibilities will include: Promoting and communicating risk appetite to the broker market. Collaborating with other underwriting teams to identify and convert new business opportunities. Evaluating and prioritising submissions with speed and accuracy. Structuring and negotiating deals to meet client needs, while ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines. Developing strong, long-term relationships with brokers and clients to grow a profitable book of business. Creating and executing business plans in line with the company's underwriting strategy. Accountable for ensuring risk selection aligns with product guidelines while meeting targets for rate, renewal retention, and new business growth. Achieving new business, renewal, and rate targets. Providing guidance and mentoring to junior underwriters. Ensuring quality file management and accurate use of rating tools. Delivering best-in-class customer service throughout the underwriting process. What We're Looking For 10 years + experience in Liability underwriting within an insurer, MGA, or broker environment. Experience with large corporate risks, including Captives or large Self-Insured Retention accounts. Experience within niche lines an advantage. Strong market-facing skills with a proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships. Commercial awareness and negotiation ability across pricing, terms, and structure. Highly motivated, with a solutions-focused mindset and strong communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving market, working cross-functionally to deliver outcomes.
