Career Opportunity: Assistant Director of Nursing – Maternity Leave Cover
This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to take on a challenging leadership role as Assistant Director of Nursing, covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care in a dynamic acute training hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver excellent patient care
* Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
* Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
* Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in acute care management
* Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including previous experience in working in an acute training hospital
* BSc Degree essential or higher qualification desirable
* Management qualification essential
* Proven ability in change management, resource management, conflict resolution, quality & safety management, problem solving, and operational planning
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and IT skills
