Your Role
As Head of HR & Legal, you will lead all aspects of people and legal functions, from employee experience to compliance with employment laws. You will collaborate with leadership to shape a thriving work environment. We seek someone with empathy, business acumen, and strategic vision.
Your Responsibilities
* Own HR functions, including legal topics, and help develop scalable, effective structures.
* Partner in creating future-proof people policies, frameworks, and performance management systems.
* Support and grow our HR team, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.
* Work with leadership to align people strategies with business goals.
* Ensure legal compliance, engaging external legal support as needed.
* Manage the full employee lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, development, retention, offboarding.
* Address HR questions with clarity and practical solutions.
* Maintain and improve HR policies, employment contracts, and organizational frameworks.
* Lead initiatives that promote trust, transparency, and inclusion.
* Handle sensitive employee relations professionally and discreetly.
Your Profile
* Fluent in English, with clear and empathetic communication.
* Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related; advanced degree or legal qualification is a plus.
* 10+ years of HR experience, preferably in scaleups or international contexts.
* Strong knowledge of labor law, employment regulations, and compliance.
* Practical, solutions-oriented, and process-driven.
* Experience leading teams or acting as a strategic partner.
* Skilled in conflict resolution and handling sensitive topics with discretion.
* Understanding of legal frameworks balanced with a people-first approach.
* Tech-savvy with HR tools experience.
* Strategic thinker with attention to detail and a passion for people.
Nice to Have
* Experience with international HR and cross-border hiring.
* Knowledge of Employer of Record models (e.g., Deel).
* Proficiency in HR tools like Ashby and CultureAmp.
* Interest in employment law, NDAs, IP, and DEI initiatives.
