Centre Secretary/Bookkeeper Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Centre Secretary/Bookkeeper to join our team.
About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent administrative skills and experience in bookkeeping and financial administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accounting system, inputting invoices into the SUN Accounts system, liaising with the Regional Bookkeeper, and meeting month-end and year-end deadlines.
The role also involves payroll management, handling general secretarial duties, and providing administrative support to the Area/Centre Manager. Additionally, you will work closely with staff to identify and pursue referral sources for programmes while maintaining relationships with funders and stakeholders.
You will have the opportunity to support marketing and promotional campaigns to enhance centre activities and outreach.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
* Process payroll and handle related queries
* Provide administrative support to the Area/Centre Manager
* Identify and pursue referral sources for programmes

Requirements
* IT qualification (such as ECDL) desirable but not essential
* Desirable accounting technician (or part qualified) - desirable but not essential
* At least two years' experience in bookkeeping and general secretarial skills
* Previous experience of Sun Accounts system is desirable but not essential
* Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access
* Experience of dealing with persons with additional needs, is an advantage
* High degree of efficiency and attention to detail
* Excellent organisational, analytical, anticipatory and written/verbal communications skill
