We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse manager to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our Clinical Nurse Managers and ensuring that high-quality care is delivered to our residents.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Care Village, ensuring that high-quality care is delivered to our residents. You will work closely with our Director of Nursing to implement clinical policies and procedures, monitor staff practices, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make operational decisions, oversee clinical and direct care, and ensure that care is centered on evidence-based practice. You will also be responsible for managing complaints and HIQA notifications, as well as liaisoning with external organizations to promote good working relationships and high standards of care and service.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the organization, management, and operations of the Care Village in coordination with the Director of Nursing.
* Ensure current nursing policies and procedures conform to current standards of nursing practice and operational policies while maintaining compliance with laws and regulations.
* Liaise with external organizations to promote and maintain good working relationships and high standards of care and service for residents.
* Identify, manage, and reduce risk in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and play an active role in the overall governance of the nursing home.
Requirements
* Registered Nurse with full NMBI registration required.
* A level 8 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications in Health or a related field or a postgraduate qualification at a minimum of Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualification which includes a Management or Leadership module.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in Care of the older person in a Nursing Management role.
