Job Summary
Applications are invited for a permanent post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Contemporary Art History within the UCD School of Art History and Cultural Policy.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deliver, and assess high‑quality taught modules in the undergraduate and graduate programmes.
Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Head of School or their nominee.
Pursue individual scholarly research specialisms, supervise postgraduate research, and contribute to the collegial and highly engaged research culture of the School and College.
Qualifications and Experience
Completed a PhD in Art History or a cognate area.
Experience teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Research and teaching experience beyond the field of Irish art history.
Specialisation in modern and/or contemporary art history (post 1950) and, preferably, a specialism in global and/or non‑Western art history.
Desirable Skills
Communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability and willingness to teach broad survey modules.
Willingness to work as part of a team.
Salary Scale
Euro scale 65,401 – 103,564 per annum.
Hours of Work
Hours are those prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
