Purpose of the role: Alstom UK&I D&IS have an exciting opportunity to join our team based in Cork, delivering signalling works on the railway infrastructure. As a Scheme Project Manager, you will play a key role supporting our Project Manager or Lead Project Manager in managing the project programme and resources to deliver the planned works within budget, safely and within set timescales. We'll look to for: Support our Project Manager or Lead Project Manager by managing and delivering significant elements of the contracted works in line with both client and internal requirements. Manage small / lower complexity projects or parts of larger or more complex projects Manage and control costs, risks and opportunities associated with your remit, to ensure your remit is delivered in line with business expectations. Provide clear and precise reports on the status of project deliverables in line with the Project Management Plan. Identify resource requirements and work with your planning colleagues to build programmes including people, plant, materials and subcontractors' activities. Liaise with and project manage subcontractors, ensuring they are reporting their progress against programme and communicating issues and risks regularly Represent Alstom at regular client and supplier meetings, and support colleagues in presenting to the client Produce accurate and concise written reports internally and to the client. Maintain a strong delivery culture. Ensure the Project Risk Management process is regularly and accurately maintained. Understand standard industry contract conditions, contractual requirements and be able to identify key variations. Accurately track all deliverables through to a successful project close out.
