Our mission is to maximise uptime, enhance system performance, and deliver measurable energy efficiency for clients in mission-critical sectors.ACS Drives invites applications for twoDrive Systems Engineers/Electriciansto join our expanding teams in the East and Southwest of Ireland. These roles combine site-based fieldwork, workshop activity, and remote diagnostic support — offering broad exposure across project delivery and service disciplines. You'll collaborate closely with senior engineers, contribute to national-scale operations, and follow a structured training and progression pathway within a technically rigorous and supportive environment.This is a hybrid role involving customer site visits, training and project work at our ACS Development & Test Centre in Mullingar, and remote technical support, depending on project stage and experience level.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, commission, and maintain low-voltage (LV) Variable Speed Drive systems across industrial and utility applications.Perform diagnostic testing, fault-finding, and troubleshooting on LV control circuits, motor systems, and field instrumentation.Execute panel modifications, retrofitting, and full control system builds to specification.Conduct detailed RAMS, site surveys, LV system condition reports, maintenance, commissioning, and asset register documentation.Deliver Service Level Agreement (SLA) support to key accounts, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational reliability.Provide technical support both on-site and remotely.Build and maintain effective partnerships with customers, contractors, integrators and OEM representatives.Make technical contributions to the ACS Technical Support teams, assisting in continuous product and process improvement.Adhere to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 aligned quality, environmental, and safety procedures.About YouQualified Electrical Engineer or Electrician with relevant experience (minimum Level 6–8 qualification).Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical, utilities, food & beverage, data centre, or heavy process environments.Hands-on experience with LV control systems, motors, and instrumentation.Confident in reading, interpreting, and updating electrical schematics.Skilled in LV systems fault finding and automation verification procedures.Experience in invasive power and control modifications, retrofit integration, and compliance with SMS safety protocols.Familiarity with OEM products such as ABB, Schneider, Siemens, Danfoss, and power quality systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Development & ProgressionStructured 12-month technical training plan with senior engineering mentorship.Access to ABB University and internal ACS CPD modules.Hands-on product training at the ACS Development & Test Centre.Specialist training through ABB and Merus Power Masterclasses (with potential overseas modules).Company-sponsored further education opportunities.Clear pathway to independent commissioning and technical lead roles within 12 months.Training in advanced Power Quality systems, including active filters, harmonic mitigation, and EMC compliance.Exposure to FAT/SAT procedures, system validation, and on-site commissioning leadership.Why Join ACS?Join a multi-disciplinary engineering team spanning electrical design, automation, and field service.Work alongside global technology leaders ABB and Merus Power.Engage in technically challenging, high-impact projects within Ireland's most vital industries.Be part of a supportive, Irish-owned organisation committed to R&D, innovation, and staff development.We value collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all employees feel respected and supported.How to ApplyApply directly via LinkedIn or send your CV to Join ACS Drives — and help keep Ireland's industry in motion.Role Details SummaryJob Type:Full-time, PermanentLocations:East & Southwest, IrelandBenefits:Hybrid working options, company pension, vehicle, laptop, site allowances, phone, On-Call rates, and education support.Salary:€45,000–€65,000 DOE + 6-month reviewReference ID:E&SW 251016Application Deadline:12 December 2025
