Are you passionate about delivering high-quality pension advice and supporting clients in achieving their retirement goals? We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Retirement Specialist Paraplanner to join our Advice Support Unit. In this role you will provide technical pension services to a team of Certified Financial Planners, ensuring client advice reports are prepared to the highest standard and delivered efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

* Prepare suitability reports accurately and on time.
* Ensure all client reports are compliant and supported with relevant documentation.
* Conduct comparative and technical research to support client recommendations and reviews.
* Understand clients’ overall financial positions from supplied fact‑find information.
* Collaborate with Certified Financial Planners to clarify client objectives and prepare suitability checks.
* Investigate queries thoroughly and provide accurate responses.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with advisors.
* Prioritise customer interests and uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance, including GDPR requirements.


Skills & Experience Required

* At least 3 years’ experience in a pensions consultancy or advisory role.
* Deep understanding of pensions legislation and the regulatory environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of customer financial advice.
* Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail.
* Diligent, proactive, and a “can‑do” attitude.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence effectively.
* Team player with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Fitness & Probity

This role falls under the MCC, and it is a ‘controlled function’ (CF3) as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Appointing a successful candidate will be conditional on the company completing prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee’s fitness and probity to meet the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank.
