Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and ongoing maintenance of EPOS database systems.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
* Supporting the database team in the ongoing maintenance of EPOS systems
* Updating and managing product standards across categories, pricing, and branding
* Collaborating with wholesale purchasing teams and third-party suppliers to ensure accurate product data
* Liaising with external service providers (e.g., McLernons, Azpiral) to deliver optimal support to the business
* Adhering to and continuously improving database processes
* Ensuring timely import and setup of approved products
* Configuring promotions and loyalty offers in line with promotional calendars
* Responding to store EPOS queries promptly and professionally
* Assisting with any additional database-related projects or requests as needed
Key Skills & Experience
* Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate, analyse, and present large datasets effectively
* Strong general IT knowledge, particularly in working with data-driven systems (non-networking)
* Proven experience managing and maintaining large databases and handling high volumes of product or transactional data
* Demonstrated ability to compile clear, insightful management reports from available data sources
* Familiarity with EPOS systems is essential — this role is focused on EPOS operations and does not involve IT networking, Python, or SQL development
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to data accuracy and integrity
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, purchasing, and supplier teams
