Accounts Assistant Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our busy finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring accurate matching to purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies with the purchasing team.
2. Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring all are properly authorised, recorded, and reconciled with incoming invoices.
3. Handle creditor accounts, including timely posting of invoices, performing supplier reconciliations, and managing payment runs.
4. Liaise with subcontractors and vendors to ensure documentation is complete and payment terms are met.
5. Investigate and resolve any supplier or subcontractor queries in a professional and timely manner.
6. Maintain up-to-date records of supplier statements and follow up on any outstanding balances.
7. Reconcile company credit cards and expense reports.
8. Assist with monthly close processes, including accruals and prepayments related to subcontractor work and purchases.
9. Collaborate closely with internal departments to support cost control and accurate financial reporting.
10. Support wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and reporting as needed.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years experience in an accounts payable or finance support role, preferably within a fast-paced or construction / engineering environment.
* Experience with creditor reconciliations, purchase order systems, and supplier/subcontractor management.
* Experience with high volume and accurate workload Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
* Comfortable working with finance systems and Excel (e.g. VLOOKUPs, data entry, reconciliations).
* Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
