About the Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Facilities & Maintenance Engineering to lead a high-performing team and drive operational excellence at a dynamic manufacturing site. This is a senior leadership role with direct impact on plant performance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in shaping maintenance strategy, optimising asset performance, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and develop the Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities teams, driving engagement, performance, and technical capability.
* Implement strategies to maximise equipment uptime, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and improve quality.
* Oversee preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
* Lead capital projects, upgrades, and new installations from design through validation and handover.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, applying lean principles, best practices, and new technologies.
* Collaborate across functions to prioritise initiatives, communicate plans, and ensure operational goals are achieved.
About You
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
Experience
* 10+ years in maintenance or engineering within manufacturing (pharmaceutical, medical device, or rubber industries preferred)
* 5+ years in a senior management role
Skills & Competencies
* Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
* Deep knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
* Hands‑on expertise with cGMP, validation, and regulatory compliance
* Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Strategic mindset with operational and project delivery experience
