We are seeking a highly qualified academic to join our team as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Ancient Greek Language.
* Course Delivery: Teach and mentor students in Ancient Greek Language courses, including lectures, seminars, and tutorials, with a focus on engaging pedagogies and assessments that promote student learning and success.
* Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum for Ancient Greek Language courses, ensuring alignment with academic standards and goals, and collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to develop interdisciplinary courses and programs.
* Research and Scholarship: Conduct research in Ancient Greek Language, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field, and publishing scholarly work in reputable journals and conferences.
About the School of Classics
The School of Classics is home to three subjects within the BA - Greek and Roman Civilisation, Greek, Latin - and contributes to several BA Humanities degree programmes. We offer an MA in Classics, MLitt, and PhD degrees, providing opportunities for postgraduate study and research.
The UCD Classical Museum holds the largest collection of Classical antiquities on display in Ireland and is embedded in our teaching, research, and outreach activities, offering valuable resources for students and academics alike.
