Site Manager – Construction (Cork)
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction firm seeking an experienced Site Manager for a range of high-profile projects across the Cork region. This role is central to the successful delivery of site operations, requiring a leader capable of managing complex builds from inception to completion. It is an ideal opportunity for a professional with 5+ years of experience looking to take the lead within a dynamic project team.
Core Responsibilities
Site Leadership: Direct and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Sub-contractor Management: Supervise and coordinate various trades and sub-contractors, ensuring clear communication of project milestones and quality expectations.
Technical Oversight: Interpret and implement engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all site activities align with the design intent and building regulations.
Health & Safety: Act as the primary lead for site safety, conducting regular inductions and ensuring full compliance with site-specific safety plans and HSA regulations.
Programme Management: Monitor project progress against the master schedule, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions to maintain delivery timelines.
Documentation: Manage site diaries, material requisitions, and technical submittals to support the project management and commercial teams.
Candidate Profile & Compensation
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a relevant trade background with significant management experience.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Site Manager on commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and Irish building regulations (including BCAR).
Proven ability to lead and motivate large site teams and manage complex schedules.
Valid Safe Pass and a full, clean driving licence.
Compensation
Salary Range: €70,000 – €85,000 per annum (Negotiable based on project portfolio).
