Naval Service Direct Entry Marine Engineering Officer
Officers of the Engineering Branch of the Naval Service are responsible for the hull and structure of the ship, its main engines, and all auxiliary machinery. They oversee the main electrical generators, electrical distribution systems, air conditioning, ventilation, heating systems, as well as all fuel and water systems. They also manage, lead, and train personnel onboard ships.
A candidate must possess:

2. b) a marine qualification deemed by the Minister for Defence to be at least equivalent to the qualifications at subparagraph (a) above.
