Reporting to the Tactical Manager, the Merchandiser role involves working as part of a team to deliver high visibility for our retail clients. The core focus of the role is stock rotation and planogram compliance. Merchandisers are required to seek out opportunities in-store and deliver results to CPM and Client standards to support sales growth across categories.
Merchandisers should work on their own initiative and build strong relationships with store managers to achieve additional displays.
Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to journey plans provided by the line manager.
2. Ensure all merchandising guidelines are followed, with emphasis on planogram compliance, maximizing promotional space, and negotiating with store managers.
3. Record relevant sales, merchandiser requirements, competitor activity, and provide feedback promptly.
4. Maintain stock rotation and record short-dated stock on XDA, highlighting issues to the store manager.
5. Maintain and expand planogram space where possible.
6. Ensure all products have correct SEL displayed.
7. Merchandise promotional ends and ensure correct pricing.
8. Capture before and after photographs using a handheld device.
9. Coordinate with the store manager before leaving to confirm satisfaction with work completed.
10. Communicate with the Tactical scheduler before and after each visit.
11. Build strong relationships with all parties to foster teamwork.
12. Generate new ideas and improve working methods.
13. Support product launches and promotions across all brands serviced.
14. Maintain all CPM and client standards and policies.
15. Strive to achieve high standards of performance for customers.
16. Operate efficiently to complete all tasks effectively.
17. Perform any other duties as instructed by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements:
