As an Operations Manager, you will lead a team, ensuring that policies and procedures are current and adhered to. This is a head of Operations role reporting to the Senior Operations Engineering Manager. Direct reports will include four Operations Shift Managers managing on-shift operators and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership: Demonstrate a strong leadership presence, capable of building cross-functional relationships on-site and leveraging divisional expertise.
2. Strategy & Operations: Balance forward planning and development and delivery of strategic initiatives with resolving day-to-day tactical issues.
3. Operational Management: Exhibit a deep understanding of running an operations organization, reacting to internal and external factors, and providing scenario plans to the business.
4. Financial Acumen: Display strong financial skills, understanding of operational budget management and financial planning.
5. Operational Excellence: Possess a robust OPEX background, championing a culture of operational excellence and engagement.
6. Talent Development: Develop the organization by creating development opportunities and building talent.
7. Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition: For sourcing, hiring, and onboarding operations staff.
Education and Experience
* NFQ Level 7 qualification in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
* Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
* Strong leadership, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
* Strategic planning experience.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Flexible and innovative approach to work.
