Nursing Home Manager Role
Our nursing home in Cork is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Nursing to play a crucial part in our team. As a Director of Nursing, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care to our residents.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nurse with at least 3 years of management experience in care of the older person. You will be responsible for ensuring that our nursing home meets all regulatory standards and guidelines. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Conducting internal audits and following up on results
* Initial induction of staff and ongoing training and development of staff
* Encouragement of innovative practice
* Ensuring implementation and adherence to Company and HIQA standards, procedures and guidelines
* Conducting regular communication meetings with all clinical staff
* Liaising with external community agencies to bring the local community into the Home and facilitating residents to attend functions/activities within the local community
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
* A post-registration management qualification in health or a related field
* A proven track record in healthcare clinical management
* Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
* Sound decision-making ability and results-driven
* Ability to work well and promote a team environment
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the company
