We are seeking a highly skilled Motion Designer to join our award-winning internal creative agency. This role is ideal for an innovative and strategically minded professional who brings ideas to the table, not just execution. You will play a key role in shaping the visual storytelling of a leading smart buildings company, delivering compelling content across video, digital, and experiential formats.
As a senior team member, you will be expected to lead by example and contribute confidently in meetings. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the creative team to concept and storyboard animated content, owning the motion design process from start to finish, and ensuring that motion graphics align with and enhance our visual identity.
You will also act as a liaison between designers, editors, and copywriters to streamline post-production workflows and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creative Development: Collaborate with the creative team to develop animated content concepts and storyboards
* Design Execution: Own the motion design process from start to finish, including style frames, animation, compositing, sound, and final delivery
* Brand Stewardship: Ensure motion graphics align with and enhance our visual identity
* Collaboration: Actively participate in team brainstorms, kickoffs, and stakeholder reviews
* Efficiency & Ownership: Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work
Qualifications:
* 5–8 years of professional motion design experience in a creative agency, in-house team, or production studio
* Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, including advanced knowledge of animation and visual effects workflows
* Advanced skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
* Knowledge of 3D (Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus
* Familiarity with emerging AI tools and techniques that support creative production
* A strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of motion design styles, creative thinking, and problem-solving
* A confident, collaborative approach to creative discussions
* A passion for storytelling through design, and an eye for detail, timing, and pacing
* An understanding of corporate branding and the ability to elevate even the most technical topics into engaging visual narratives
* A degree in Motion Design, Animation, Visual Communication, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a global B2B brand environment
* Familiarity with video editing and audio design principles
* Knowledge of accessibility standards in video and animation
