About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an Assistant Person in Charge (APIC) in a nursing home in Tipperary.
This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated professional looking to make a meaningful impact in residential care, supporting and leading a team to deliver person-centred care to older adults.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Person in Charge (PIC) in day-to-day management and overall operations of the nursing home.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical supervision to ensure top-quality care and compliance with national standards.
* Act as PIC in their absence, fulfilling duties under the Health Act 2007 and HIQA regulations.
* Promote a culture of dignity, respect, safety, and high-quality living for residents.
* Lead safeguarding practices and contribute to continuous improvement and team development.
Requirements
* Registered Nurse with NMBI and an active PIN.
* 6+ years post-registration experience, including 2+ years in a nursing home and 2+ years in a management role.
* Postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Management (or willingness to complete it).
* Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
* Flexibility to work across shifts, including weekends and nights.
Desirable Qualifications
* Further training or qualifications in Gerontology or Dementia Care.
