We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join a vibrant hotel team in Galway City. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading the team on-shift, and ensuring smooth operational performance across reception, guest services, and public areas.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day hotel operations on your shift - from check-ins/outs to guest requests, room allocations, and troubleshooting.
Deliver outstanding customer service and handle guest feedback professionally and promptly.
Support the Front Office team with bookings, arrivals, departures, and billing.
Resolve operational issues efficiently and make decisions that enhance the guest experience.
Uphold health, safety, and security standards at all times.
Supervise, coach, and support team members, providing guidance and leadership.
Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, F&B) to ensure seamless service.
Carry out daily audits, cash handling, and night-audit duties when required.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality (hotel, resort, guest services)
Strong leadership and communication skills
A passion for guest service and problem-solving
Professional attitude with attention to detail
Flexibility with shift patterns (including evenings/weekends)
Ability to stay calm under pressure and make smart decisions
