Reliable Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust cloud infrastructure solutions to drive the scalability and reliability of our platform.
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team in Galway. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to technology initiatives in cloud infrastructure, software delivery, and observability.
Your primary focus will be on building and developing tooling, policies, and processes to advance our organization's capabilities. You will lead assigned projects, ensuring the overall delivery of these initiatives.
You will work closely with the Platform Engineering team to deliver operational excellence through system automation, self-service, and developer tooling that empowers the entire organization to achieve exceptional results for our customers.
We are looking for an experienced professional who possesses strong technical skills, including Terraform, Helm, Python, Go, container orchestration services such as Docker and Kubernetes, and various GCP services. A passion for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices is essential.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Kubernetes and/or Helm, proficiency in coding and scripting languages such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm, and understanding of CI/CD tools like GitHub, GitLab, and Artifactory.
A solid background in monitoring solutions expertise, production environment support, and software development is also required. Additionally, experience working within Agile teams and adhering to sprint cadences and delivery timelines is necessary.
This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, ability to effectively triage issues, and conduct root-cause analyses when needed. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
