We are currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Interior Sales Associate to work alongside the owner.
This role is ideal for someone who has studied interior design, worked in interiors, or simply has a strong love and eye for design, combined with a passion for sales and customer service.
Role Overview This is a varied, hands-on role combining retail sales, interior styling, and customer care.
The successful candidate will assist customers on the shop floor, help put together interior schemes, prepare quotes, support freelance interior design projects, and help manage online and in-store operations.
As a small business, this role suits someone who is self-motivated, organised, and enjoys taking ownership while working closely as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Experience Welcome customers and provide a warm, personalised shopping experience Advise customers on furniture, home décor, and interior accessories Assist with creating interior schemes and styling ideas for customers Prepare and follow up on customer quotations Drive sales in-store and support online sales Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat business Interior Design Support Assist with freelance interior design enquiries and projects Help customers visualise products within their space Maintain the design flow and aesthetic of the store Store & Operations Maintain the shop floor through cleaning, merchandising, and stock organisation Receive and process weekly deliveries and new stock Enter new products into the system, including pricing and tagging Process transactions using the POS system Track and process online orders from the website Ensure the store is presented to a high standard at all times Administration & Digital Use computer systems for orders, emails, stock, and quotes Assist with basic social media content and engagement Support promotion of the store and online business Skills & Experience Essential: Strong interest and passion for interior design and homewares Retail sales experience or a natural ability to sell and engage customers Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal & written)Strong organisational and time-management skills Confident using computers (POS systems, email, basic software)Ability to work independently and take initiative Reliable, punctual, and professional Desirable (but not essential): Interior design education or experience Experience working in a homewares, furniture, or interiors store Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook)Personal Qualities We're Looking For Sales-driven with a creative eye Friendly, approachable, and confident with customers Highly organised and detail-oriented Problem-solver with a positive attitude Comfortable working in a small business environment Working Hours & Schedule Day shift / split shift Monday to Friday and weekend availability required (Saturday & Sunday)Work location: Ardee Benefits Employee discount Casual dress code Weekly pay Opportunity to grow with a small independent business Job Type: Part-time Pay: €14.50-€16.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexitime Work Location: In person
