About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Supplier Quality Engineer
to play a critical role in ensuring that suppliers consistently deliver high-quality components, materials, and services to meet stringent regulatory and patient safety standards.
This role is pivotal in maintaining supplier performance across the full product lifecycle—from supplier qualification and incoming inspection through to manufacturing support and continuous improvement.
Operating at a senior professional level, you will bring deep technical expertise, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and supplier base.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure suppliers deliver compliant, high-quality parts, materials, and services in accordance with company, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Lead supplier qualification and onboarding activities, including risk assessments, audits, and approval to company standards.
Develop, implement, and maintain a strategic supplier audit programme to ensure compliance with
GMP, ISO *****, and applicable regulatory requirements
.
Monitor supplier performance metrics and trends, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and systemic risks.
Serve as the primary quality interface with suppliers, leading problem resolution for supplier-related non-conformances and escalations.
Evaluate supplier quality systems and internal controls, providing clear, actionable feedback and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical leadership on complex, cross-functional projects, influencing outcomes through data-driven recommendations.
Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts for non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to team capability building and succession planning.
Plan and manage resources for large-scale supplier quality initiatives, ensuring delivery aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
5–8+ years' experience in Supplier Quality Engineering within a regulated industry (medical devices, pharmaceutical, biotech, or highly regulated manufacturing).
Strong working knowledge of GMP, ISO *****, FDA QSR, and EU MDR (as applicable).
Proven experience leading supplier audits
, supplier development activities, and cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to influence internal stakeholders and external suppliers without direct authority.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical, risk-based, and strategic thinking capabilities.
Experience supporting or leading Certified Supplier Programs is highly desirable.
