Programme Executive – Energy & Sustainability (Public Sector)
This role is to support the public sector in improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions by developing, implementing, and scaling up programmes. It is a hands-on, project-delivery role supporting their work with public sector bodies to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions. It requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate energy/climate goals into practical programmes.

: Dublin, Cork, Dundalk, or Sligo
Contract
: 18 months, full-time
Hybrid
: 2 days on site
Hours/Annual Leave:
35-hour net week with 29 days annual leave
Salary
: €52,026 p.a. (fixed, non-negotiable)
Key Responsibilities
* Provide
technical and planning expertise
to support retro-commissioning and O&M schemes.
* Monitor and track projects
throughout their lifecycle, ensuring partners meet requirements.
* Carry out
evaluation and quality assurance
(including measurement and verification).
* Collect and report data
on project impacts, outcomes, and lessons learned.
* Prepare
reports, analysis, and performance updates
.
* Support
procurement processes
in line with public sector guidelines.
* Develop
guidance materials, case studies, web content, and webinars
for stakeholders.
* Maintain and grow
relationships with public bodies and other stakeholders
.
* Troubleshoot and assist with
IT and business system issues
related to the programme.
* Flexibility required during periods of
high workload or tight deadlines
.
Experience & Skills Required:
* Degree (NFQ Level 7+) in a relevant technical area (e.g. Engineering, Science, Building Services).
* At least
3 years' relevant experience
(or combination of postgraduate study + experience).
* Experience managing
projects with multiple stakeholders
.
* Understanding of
energy efficiency, sustainability, and energy management
in public/commercial/industrial sectors.
* Strong
report writing and public communication
skills.
* Strong
analytical and problem-solving
ability with good judgment.
* Excellent
written, verbal, and presentation
skills (able to explain technical issues clearly).
* Strong
interpersonal skills
to build collaborative relationships internally and externally.
* Ability to
work independently
, manage deadlines, and take initiative.
* Good
IT proficiency
.
