We are seeking a Lead Estimator for a leading mechanical building services engineering company established in 2017, specialising in a diverse range of industries including data centres and pharmaceuticals.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Own the tender process
from end to end — analysing drawings, specifications, and schedules to produce competitive, clear, and commercially sound project costings.
* Lead and develop
the estimating function, driving improvements in systems, processes, and best practices.
* Collaborate across departments
—from Commercial to Contracts—to ensure real-world delivery aligns with cost models and assumptions.
* Engage with suppliers and subcontractors
to source and negotiate competitive rates, while evaluating value-engineering opportunities.
* Guide the transition from pre-construction to delivery,
ensuring all costing information and risks are clearly handed over to project teams.
* Attend site visits and client meetings,
influencing the front end of prestigious projects across Europe.
* Maintain and evolve a dynamic pricing database,
keeping rates and norms relevant to the fast-paced nature of our work.
What You'll Bring:
* A proven track record in mechanical estimating or pre-construction within building services or MEP.
* Strong technical understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems across diverse project types.
* Exceptional attention to detail and confidence in reviewing complex tender packages.
* Commercial acumen and a drive to ensure all bids are accurate, strategic, and win-ready.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and engage clients.
