Tipperary Nursing Home Opportunity ADON – Assistant Director of Nursing required for an established nursing home in Tipperary. Excellent salary and many benefits on offer.
Responsibilities
* Conduct internal audits and follow up on results.
* Induct staff and provide ongoing training and development.
* Encourage innovative practice.
* Ensure implementation and adherence to company and HIQA standards, procedures and guidelines.
* Conduct regular communication meetings with all clinical staff.
* Establish a good rapport with external community agencies and facilitate residents to attend local community functions/activities.
* Liaise with marketing to maximise opportunities and maintain a high profile in the local community.
* Implement company health and safety policy to safeguard safety and welfare of staff, residents and others.
* Implement regular fire training and evacuation plans.
* Ensure hygiene and cleanliness of the home is to the highest standard.
* Implement a preventative maintenance programme.
* Participate in the selection and interviewing of staff.
* Conduct regular training needs analysis.
* Ensure clinical practice meets regulations and standards.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
* Qualified nurse with at least 3 years management experience in the last 6 years in care of older persons.
* Post registration management qualification in health or a related field.
* Proven track record in healthcare clinical management.
* Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
* Sound decision-making ability and results-driven approach.
* Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
* Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the company.
